Enterprise—Out of the Group Chat

Art Direction

Looking to capture the excitement of summer travel, Enterprise was seeking some fun, trend-based travel content for their Instagram. Based on the viral phrase “getting the trip out of the group chat”, this video carousel illustrates the back-and-forth that comes with travel-planning over text, and what can happen when those plans finally make it into the real world.

The concept began with a very literal take on the phrase “out of the group chat”, with the idea focused on elements of scenic travel locations physically breaking the interface of a group chat.

Concept development phases saw the idea transition from still images to short animated videos, the introduction of a more stylized and branded group text interface, and adjustments to the videos’ aspect ratio once the final format was decided.

The finalized carousel consisted of three short videos featuring different group chats making plans to visit waterfalls, hot air balloons, and ski resorts. Each group chat represents different groups of potential travelers including friends, families, and teammates, and the post's caption encourages its audience to finally take the trip that they've always been talking about. The videos were shared to Enterprise’s Instagram in early August 2024 to connect with the final wave of summer travelers.
